Sushil’s Thrillophilia Review of a Singapore Family Trip

After weeks of dreaming about a family vacation, we chose Singapore. We didn’t want to miss anything exciting, so we turned to Thrillophilia. They helped us plan everything, from thrilling rides at Universal Studios to peaceful moments at Sentosa.

Thanks to their expertise, our trip was everything we hoped for and more!

Fun-Filled Day at Universal Studios Singapore

Our family kicked off the Singapore trip with a visit to Universal Studios, and what a day it was! We got there early, all excited about the rides, the shows, and of course, the characters. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a giant globe that spun with the words ‘Universal Studios’ shining brightly.

It set the tone for the day.

The first stop was the "Transformers" ride. It was the perfect start for our adrenaline-filled day! The 3D simulation made it feel like we were flying through the city, fighting Megatron. Our daughter was thrilled and kept shouting, “This is so cool! I feel like a superhero!”

But she wasn’t ready for what was next.

We headed straight for the 'Jurassic Park' ride. It looked harmless enough, but we were soon on a raft floating through the jungle. Suddenly, a massive T-Rex appeared, roaring in our faces! We all screamed, and their daughter's reaction was priceless. She grabbed her dad’s hand and shouted, “This was so much fun...the best ride ever!” The whole raft got soaked, and we ended up laughing at how drenched we were. It was hilarious.

After drying off and catching our breath, we went to the "Shrek" 4D show. Our daughter, who’s a huge fan of Shrek, was glued to the screen the entire time. During one of the scenes, when Donkey was on screen, she whispered to us, “I want to meet Donkey!” We told her, "We’ll see, maybe later!" Of course, that didn’t happen, but we got some ice cream, and she was happy enough to forget about it.

As we left Universal Studios, exhausted but happy, we couldn’t help but talk about how much fun we had. The mix of thrilling rides and joyful moments made it a day we would never forget.

A Night in the Wild

Our next adventure was something truly magical - Singapore's famous Night Safari. We were all a bit tired after an exciting day at Universal Studios, but the thought of spotting animals in the night had us all excited. As the sun began to set, we entered the Night Safari, and it felt like we had stepped into a whole different world.

We took the tram ride through the park, which is known for its amazing open-air concept, where animals roam freely in large, natural habitats. One of the first animals we saw was a huge tiger, pacing along its enclosure. It was so close to the tram, and I remember my wife whispering, “I feel like we’re in the middle of a wildlife documentary!”

The next highlight was the flying fox. As the tram passed by, we spotted these giant bats hanging from the trees. They suddenly spread their wings, and our daughter screamed, “They’re huge!” Everyone else was too busy holding onto the sides of the tram to even react. I think that was the moment we realized how dark and mysterious the safari was. It felt like something out of a movie!

After the tram ride, we went for a walking trail where we got a closer look at some of the animals. A guide explained how certain species are nocturnal, and we spotted a group of adorable lemurs hopping around. As we wrapped up the night, the air felt cooler, and the whole experience left us with a sense of wonder. We agreed it was an amazing way to end our action-packed day.

A Perfect Day Trip to Sentosa Island

Soon, it was time for us to head out for a day trip to Sentosa Island. From the moment we set foot on the island, we knew it was going to be a fun-filled day. The first thing we did was visit the S.E.A. Aquarium. It was like walking into an underwater world. Our daughter was in awe, pointing at the colourful fish and gigantic manta rays.

Next, we took the Skyride to the top of the hill. As we were riding in the cable car, I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the island looked from above, with its clear blue water and lush greenery.

We spent the afternoon on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the calm waves. Our daughter, of course, couldn't resist making a sandcastle, which turned into a mini fortress in no time. She proudly declared, “This is the best sandcastle in the world!” I think she believed it, and honestly - it was pretty impressive.

The combination of beach fun, thrilling rides, and beautiful views made it the perfect way to wrap up our trip. Sentosa Island really gave us the best of everything - nature, adventure, and relaxation.

Our family trip to Singapore was filled with memories that will last a lifetime. From the exciting rides at Universal Studios, the nighttime wonders of the Night Safari, or the fun we had on Sentosa Island, we couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. It was everything we hoped for and more!
