Shubham’s Honeymoon Trip to Andaman with Thrillophilia

I still remember the way she looked at me when we boarded the flight to Port Blair. It was a mix of excitement, nervousness, and a bit of tiredness from the wedding chaos. "Can you believe we are finally here? Our first trip together as husband and wife!" my wife said, holding my hand tightly as the plane soared above the clouds.
We had planned this trip for months, meticulously choosing the Andaman Islands for our honeymoon, a place that promised both serenity and adventure. The idea of beautiful beaches, turquoise waters, and an entire world beneath the sea fascinated both of us. And on the 23rd of January 2025, our journey to paradise officially began.
A Walk Through History and Tranquillity in Port Blair

As we landed in Port Blair, the warm tropical air welcomed us with a salty embrace. Our driver greeted us with a smile and took us to our hotel. After a quick nap, we set out to explore the treasures of the island.
Our first stop was Corbyn’s Cove Beach. Here, the sight of the endless blue stretching into the horizon left us speechless. "This is surreal," my wife whispered, slipping off her sandals to let the golden sand touch her feet. We spent hours there, and the rhythmic sound of waves was a perfect melody to our newfound happiness. I watched as she twirled around, her laughter blending with the sea breeze.
As the sun dipped lower, we made our way to the Cellular Jail, a haunting yet significant monument of India's freedom struggle. Walking through its dark and cold corridors gave us chills. The guide narrated stories of the past, with each word echoing with pain and resilience. But the real magic happened later - the sound and light show brought history alive. The walls spoke of sacrifices, the sky painted with lights, and for a moment, we were transported back in time. My wife and I felt the same overwhelming emotion.
Love Meets the Ocean on Havelock Island

The next morning, we set off for Havelock Island. The ferry ride itself was an experience as the water was so clear that you could see fish moving beneath the surface. My wife leaned against the railing and let the salty breeze play with her hair. "This is what dreams are made of," she sighed.
After checking into our resort, we headed straight to Radhanagar Beach, and it indeed took our breath away. The white sand and the gentle waves lapped at the shore, and the sky was painted in shades of orange and pink - it was picture-perfect. We walked hand in hand, and our footprints vanished as the waves took them away. I told my wife, "I could stay here forever, just like this."
We spent the evening swimming and splashing water at each other like carefree children. As the sun set, we lay on the cool sand and watched the stars emerge, with their reflection shimmering on the water. It was at that moment that I realised that it was the start of a lifetime of memories.
An Underwater Love Story at Elephant Beach

The next day was the one we had both been waiting for - Elephant Beach and scuba diving at Neemo Reef. Excitement ran through our veins as we got into our gear and received instructions. "Are you sure about this?" my wife asked, with a mix of thrill and anxiety in her eyes.
"Trust me, it is going to be unforgettable," I reassured her.
As we sank below the surface, a whole new world unfolded before us. Schools of vibrant fish swam past, corals swayed in the gentle currents, and the water glowed with a magical blue light. My wife’s grip on my hand loosened as she got comfortable, and her eyes were wide with wonder. We even spotted a sea turtle gliding gracefully, and for a moment, time stood still.

When we surfaced, we both looked at each other. "That was the most incredible thing I have ever done!" she exclaimed, her face glowing with exhilaration.
After a thrilling morning, we spent the rest of the day lazing on the beach, sipping fresh coconut water, and watching the waves touch the shore. The silence was strong, and I found myself wishing we could pause time.
A Farewell to Paradise at Kalapathar Beach

Our last day in Andaman began with a visit to Kalapathar Beach. True to its name, the contrast of black rocks against the turquoise ocean was spectacular. We walked along the shore and saw the morning sun cast a golden glow over the landscape. My wife clicked endless pictures here, some along the shores and some on the black rocks.
But more than the scenery, it was the quiet intimacy of the place that struck us. No crowds, no noise - just the sound of waves and our own laughter. We sat on a rock and watched the ocean stretch on infinitely. "Promise me," she said softly, "we will keep travelling and exploring together."

I smiled. "Always."
Later that afternoon, we took the ferry back to Port Blair. There was a bittersweet feeling in our hearts - grateful for the memories but hesitant to leave. We spent our last night thinking, going through photos, and laughing at our funny underwater expressions from the scuba dive.
